Red Hat has hired Nicholas Van Wyk, a former EMC executive, to be its vice president of operations, the Linux seller said Wednesday. Van Wyk's job will be to optimize Red Hat's software subscription business and to improve business opportunities with sales channel business partners.
Previously, as vice president of worldwide channel operations at EMC, Van Wyk integrated Legato's operations into those of EMC overall, Red Hat said. At the Linux seller, he reports to Joanne Rohde, executive vice president of global operations.
