Rearden Commerce has signed a deal with American Express Business Travel, which will use the online-service provider's hosted software, the companies said Tuesday. American Express Business Travel will also make a minority investment in Rearden Commerce.
Rearden Commerce provides a range of hosted services for businesses, designed to ease jobs such as booking travel or ordering package shipping. American Express Business Travel is launching an "online marketplace" that will rely on aspects of Rearden Commerce's services, including its online personal assistant for booking travel, the company said. As part of the deal, an executive from American Express travel services will join the Rearden Commerce board.
