RealNetworks fills vacant exec role

Streaming media company RealNetworks says it has appointed Ricardo Cidale as vice president of media systems sales for the Americas. Cidale will be responsible for managing the North and South American media segment of the media systems division of RealNetworks while he continues to oversee its Latin American team. He fills the role that Tom Hull, who held responsibilities covering the North American region, left for personal reasons at the end of January.

RealNetworks said Cidale has been given increasing responsibility for the South American region. Cidale was formerly general manager of RealNetworks' Latin America and U.S. Latino division. Prior to joining the company three years ago, Cidale held executive management positions at Dell Computer and Compaq Computer.
