Procter & Gamble to join Internet Home Alliance

The Internet Home Alliance will announce later this month new members to its roster with the most noteworthy being consumer product company Procter & Gamble. A Procter & Gamble representative, Orly Cocco, also has been named to the group's board of directors. The alliance, which consists of a diverse group of companies from networking giant Cisco Systems to appliance maker Whirlpool, is working to advance home technology.

Real estate investment company Taubman Centers and appliance developer Spitfire Controls also joined the group.
