Players rush into "Dark Age"

Mythic Entertainment, a division of Vivendi Universal Interactive Publishing, said Monday that more than 100,000 players have signed up for "Dark Age of Camelot" since its Oct. 9 release. This makes it one of fastest-growing subscription-based online games. The role-playing game for PCs is similar to the hits "Ultima" and "Everquest" in that players pay monthly fees to interact with other players in a vast online environment. "Dark Age" is loosely based on Arthurian legends and characters.
