New iPods are too expensive
The color iPod looks like an early Palm PDA while the black one
is very cool. Both are priced so high that anyone can get a laptop
for these prices.

too expensive? Not a factor for iPods
Critics complained that the original iPod was too expensive, the
iPod Mini was too expensive, and now the iPod Photo is too
expensive.
Guess they must be right, since the iPod is the # 1 personal
music device.
Don't worry. It will sell, and as HD prices continue to drop so will
the base iPod Photo.

Too expensive ??? What do you mean???
Remember this is a product intended for Apple iPod fans. These are absolutely appropriate prices which, I predict, will fly off the shelves and become hard to find for a year or so. Remember the original iPod? 5gig for $500? Remember the iPod Mini? It just now became easy to get.

Too expensive? I think they're a bargin!

certainly not too expensive...
i bought my first sony discman for about $200 (and that was 10 years ago - gotta have 'g shock'). i bought my ipod 20gb two months ago, and @ $299 (-$30, apple gives students a discount at their store), i got a bargain. i use it in the car, @ school, and everywhere else i go (i'm something of an introvert, and when people see you wearing headphones, they tend to forgo the pursuance of a conversation). if people need the extra space (i.e. 40 or 60) it makes sense it would cost more than i paid. same holds true about some people needed the ability to carry their photos around with them.

ipod: @ 5.6oz, it's not just music; it's your soul.

Nothing is too expensive for Apple users
I use a PC and I find that the iPOD is too expensive for a music playing device, it is almost the price of a low-end laptop. Infact I can get a computer for that price. Apple is just a trend like back in the 80's it will make some impact and then disappear, and I am pretty sure it will go this time for good.

Coming soon: visual elements of albums?
Now cover art and liner notes can accompany songs. This should be included at no extra cost with a download of a complete album.

It does
Cover art already comes with the songs from the Apple iTunes store.

Great idea and kewl! Pricey but then kewl things usually are. It
just depends on whether young folks will dig up the $$. If you
are young and you think it is kewl; you will buy it --young
ranges from 15-65

Think about this.....
A 40/60 gig device that stores photos that can be synched with
sound and displayed through a projector opens up a whole
realm of educational and business applications for the new iPod.
Everything from PowerPoint presentations to university lectures
to "how-to" demonstrations to sales presentations to real estate
listings etc, etc. etc. can now be presented. Very cool. The
music and snapshots are just gravy.

So What??
No matter how much **** apple adds to their iPod, I'm still not getting one. And besides, Apple is wasting their time and money updating the iPod so much and so quickly. Why don't they save the olor screen for their next iPod generation??....Dell just updated their Dj and does that mean I'm buying one?? NoOoOoOoO because they both do the one thing that they need to: PLAY MUSIC!

The expense is warranted if you want the very best...
I have had my ipod for 21 months and it is going strong. I have taken it to varioius countries where I have vacationed and it always gets noticed. I play mine in the car, at work, at the gym and through our sound system at home. Yes I do have all the gadgets (navipod, itrip etc.)but it is certainly worth it.

iPod + iTrip = iAm Happy
My wife is a technophobe who only recently learned to check her own hotmail and surf the internet. This summer I bought her an iPod Mini and an iTrip, and showed her iTunes. She now downloads her own music and happily plays it in the car, at home, at work, etc. No wires, no headphones, nothing to get tangled.

Maybe when Apple comes out with iPod Video I'll pick one up. These things are amazing!

Price discounts
At this site, there are amazing deals on iPods. Some people have even gotten them for free with some work. And no, it is not a scam.
