appearance. That said, I like the idea that the box can be
customized.
But, you have to keep in mind that they didn't design it to appease the hardcore gamer. They have joe-consumer in mind. This design reflects the appeal of today's most popular gadgets. So, they're trying to appeal to the broadest audience they can. Trying to appeal to demographics that haven't been into gaming as much as say males between the ages of 10-32.
By the way, that MTV special... Lame. The marketing department had a field day. It was all glitz, celebrities, and flashing colors. Did it educate the viewer about the console and Microsoft's vision for it? Not really. In fact, it barely brushed the surface. I think you got to see the console itself 2 seperate times for about 5 seconds each.
(admittedly a high tech version).
controller. Nintendo gets it from all sides, but they are the best.
early stages....i wish they would make it smaller instead of bigger.
like the ps2 now is sold in a slimmed down box. that is how they
should do it from the beginning. i dunno...have they released a
price yet?
In fact it was rumored that Microsoft was supplying dual processing Macintoshes as there development system. I see Microsoft dropping Windows development, and supporting MacOS X soon. Hopefully, all games written to the XBOX 360 can be ported over to the Mac platform.
PC platform is dead. Long live the Mac!!!!
white color!
Or maybe trying to be diffrent from Sony, PS2because of it being
identified by it's black case design.
Maybe next Microsoft will be doing blue see-through versions!
Well at least they are consistent in some way JEJEJE ;) ..
I'll like to see how Linux can be installed on this one.
If it's Power Pc Based then maybe.. yellow dog Linux JEJEJE
The MTV infomercial was painful to watch. Seeing J. Allard do his homie handshake with some rap gangstar and making sure the camera focused squarely on it was yet another example of corporate America putting every effort forth to appear hip. Microsoft should have hired some street thugs to front as developers of the XBox 360. "Aww yeah, yo them APIs we made for the SDK 4 this ***** are straight dope m4d l33t ****!!!"
The MTV infomercial had no content, just kids they paid to dance around and Frodo really truly trying to act like he actually cared about a gaming console. It all takes me back to the Sprite.com "release party" that Sprite paid MTV to do years ago.
I'm definately hacking this thing.
- Does looks matter?

- The shell really does not matter is it in how does it function and what are its limits. These are the things that really matter in gaming. Then comes the fluff. So what can it do? Everyone is talking about its looks not not what it has or can do?
