Up, up and away

Designed as a recreational vehicle, the AirScooter II looks like it would be easy to park at the mall. It's expected to be available this year.

"Scooter" Pie In The Sky Idea
by April 19, 2005 2:21 PM PDT
Tell me exactly where one would fly this invention...

Not to the Mall certainly. I can picture it now:

"Mother and child decapitaed at local Mall-film at 11"...

Certainly not in NY State. Liitigating capitol of the world...It's a mini helicopter-nothing new here. The photograph in the accompanying article implies that you would swoop down out of the sky and "park" this thing with no muss, no fuss. If people already can't drive, you want to make them pilots? Not gonna happen...

watch out for wires
by April 19, 2005 7:52 PM PDT
This would be great to use over water, e.g. along coastlines -- places with high visibility, no ground clutter, and no wires.

One idea: make it a motorcycle/airscooter and I can safely drive/fly to Whidbey island, skipping the ferry.

AirScooter and Cellphones are cousins
by April 23, 2005 6:43 AM PDT
I think without a doubt AirScooter is to travel what cellphone is to telecommunication. Lot of paralles, i.e. what was "connecting people" will now be "flying people".We said cellphone would fry your brain, now we are saying Airscooters will chop you to pieces.etc. etc the same old song.

Well, Africa get ready. Here comes another goodie! Yes, there IS God is heaven.

Another overdue invention! Maybe, Maybe not
by April 24, 2005 6:12 AM PDT
For those who think that this will be the new wave in transportation ?I think not? not taking away from the invention because I think that IT?S GREAT!

I personally ?a few years ago? sent away for plans that were advertised as plans to build a small helicopter. This was nothing short of a money racket as the device would have been nothing short of a trap and was more than likely 30 years outdated!!
Not to mention that they got my money?.

I can only dream of owning such a vehicle of my own but with a price of ?what someone mentioned to be? just under 50K, which is well over what I would spend on this as it would only be a recreational toy! I reside in Nova Scotia Canada and 4 wheelers are a big thing BIG. One of our yearly rally?s brings in excess of 6 to 8 Hundred enthusiasts with their play toys. Just thinking for a minute on how many of them would buy a Air Scooter I don?t see any of my friends putting out this much $$$. But on the other hand if this was in the right price range 20 ? 25 K just to toss a few numbers around, I think that this could be something that could well become something BIG in a short time to come.

Think about it, if this toy ?hovercraft? could be purchased for the price of a small vehicle, the average person could well be interested. But at 50K apiece more than likely it will be seen in the public to some extent, more than likely by people that are already in the aviation industry and can afford such a toy, and once again it will be out of the average person?s reach!

I hope they make the right decision on this hovercraft and I will be keeping a close eye on what the outcome will be. Nice work to the inventor. :-0

Seriously interested,
CANADIAN?

PS: What a hassle just to post a message, more junk mail in my junk email system!! Hard way to get registrations, loosers, and looser system......

Outstanding, but not NEW
by October 2, 2005 4:42 PM PDT
Persons like Kamov and Hiller already "invented" this, it was well known in the aviation world 50 years ago, but I think this is a good combination of simple and genius, since the very begining, I wonder why this design hasnīt been produced in mass?, only Kamov has, Hope Airscooter company offers us a vehicle we can effort, but for 50K I donīt think so, it will be just another expensive aircraft. The **** already offering this one man helicopter for transportation, SO PLEASE PUT IT ON THE MARKET!!!
and I hope to see an evolution of the conventional transport in the near future.
Good luck

Buy their Stock - earn yourself an AirScooter.!!
by October 5, 2005 6:22 PM PDT
AirScooter (..currently unknown - ground floor opportunity..) is a Public Company. You can buy shares of stock in 'ASCO' for a mere $1.85+/-. By early Novermber, it should be much more expensive, as the IR/PR and media campagin on the AirScooter and AirScout will start in a week or so. See http://www.tdwaterhouse.com if you need a low-cost brokerage account.

This is your chance to buy into "..The Wright Brothers Incoporated - 2005.." before the thundering herd gets their hands on it. It's currently listed on the Pinksheets, but will move up to the OTCBB, Nasdaq, or AMEX exchange very soon. http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/quote.jsp?symbol=asco

In my humble opinion, as an electrical engineer and licensed commercial/multi pilot, every red-blooded American should own a minumum of 100 shares of ASCO as a simple matter of "..patriotic duty..". These are the kind of efforts that build America and make us strong.

The Military is already looking at both the manned and unmanned (UAV - UCAV) versions of the AirScooter, and the new AeroTwin engines for battlefield generators and pumps.

Since the AirScooter costs less than a Corvette, I'm planniig on buying one by mid-2006. http://www.siliconinvestor.com/subject.aspx?subjectid=55879
