Simple robots take a hike

MIT's Toddler is a robot that mimics the gait and control of human walking. Through software it can teach itself to walk in less than 20 minutes, or about 600 steps.

Do you want to be replaced by robots. We would be their slaves, do you as electronic consumers want that. Let us not allow people to develop them to that point. I want to exist as a free person with choices and self responcibility. When my daughter is 64 she will have no choices, if we are not careful of who is in charge. Watch out. We do not want to be cyborges. The human race has to go on and not as slaves, were the computer is in charge of our lives, and we end up on the out side, we had better know how to make a fire, know how to make a lean to or how to camp out. And know how grow our own food. And learn to do without computers. We should be in charge not them. Because the computer wants to be in charge of us.

The irrational paranoia is classic.

First of all, until robots are both stronger and smarter than us we will always be in control of them.

Once they are better than us and capable of everything we are it is time for us to be proud.

Since they would simply be an improved version of ourselves.

A human being is a biological robot, the kind we make from steel and motors is a synthetic robot.

Im not really seeing much of a difference here.

They would be our children regardless of what they are made of.
