Robots mount up for camel races

The dismounted robot after an April 2005 trial run in Qatar. The Associated Press reported that the mechanical jockey rode a camel for 1.5 miles at speeds up to 25 miles per hour.

Sure not sending kids to their deaths is a good thing but isn't racing supposed to be about the endurance of the rider and animal? Might as well watch the coke cans 'race' during previews at the movies.
