Nokia commissioned musician Ryuichi Sakamoto to compose ring tones and alerts for this new camera phone, dubbed the 8800 for the U.S. market (and the 8801 in other countries). The company says it drew on modern watchmaking and jewelry-making techniques to design the handset.

(1) Screen too small!
(2) Keys *, 0 and # may be difficult to use. the slider may obscure some of those keys
(3) design is the same as always. Time for a change?
Questions to ask yourself to ensure the phone being a sound choice:
(1) weight?
(2) OS platform?
(2) camera resolution?
(3) screen resolution?
(4) battery life?
(5) comfortable key usage?
(6) customisable OS?
(7) functions and features that are actually useful?
And features I hope it has (some of):
(1) is that a scroll wheel above slider?
(2) loud speaker like the 6230
(3) GPRS with EDGE (minimum), always on
(4) media card that is hot-swappable and that is at 512k (minimum) that doesn't eat battery life!
(5) faster processor and more ram
(6) 256,000+ colour screen (minimum)
(7) 2 megapixel camera (minimum)
(8) Bluetooth / USB / WiFi
