Hewlett-Packard's new Pavilion desktops will assume a silver and white hue. The new design, which features a silver case and a white insert, will initially come on three models.
Their consumer line includes the AMD Athlon 64 (kudos for that) and at a very competitive pricepoint. Now if they will start backing their Business (managed) desktops and laptops up with some firm roadmaps and start advertising that fact I think they can very well compete with Dell at the business level. Dell's business products are middle of the road in technology but they are backed up by some serious lifetimes. This quality in itself makes the purchase of Dell systems for business use as "Standard" systems valuable.

The color scheme looks EXACTLY like what Apple has been doing for over 4 years! I enjoy hp and their products...well...their printers, but really, what happened to their motto of 'invent'? There is nothing innovative about the color scheme and underneath, it is still cheap plastic...not aircraft-grade aluminum or ballistic-grade acrylic. Kudos on the iPod dock, but does Mr. Anderson seriously want us to believe that throngs of customer surveys went towards the same trend...and that trend being of cleaner lines, simplicity and elegance? They gave good feedback because they like what they see from Apple and the iPod, and marketing at hp is not fooling anyone. They, like the rest of the non-Apple PC makers have nothing really innovative in the hopper, thus as history has taught us...follow if you cannot lead. Invent-schminvent.

..Evaryone knows they invented the color white!! You'de better watch your back before you get accused of "immitating" and "copying" their design. *Laughs*.......I WOULD be worried about my designs being copied too if I was Apple, since that's ALL their products have going for them :-D
