Gateway, which on Monday will deliver a new line of desktops and notebooks, wants to lure multimedia enthusiasts with its $999 832GM desktop. The computer comes with Microsoft's Windows XP Media Center operating system.
Once a cheap PC maker, always a cheap PC maker. This is same old crap Gateway has been shipping for years just in a new shell and now with the cheap scent of eMachine.
I recently dumped the lame Gateway my parents bought me and bought an Apple PowerMac G5 and couldn't be happier. I can't believe I put up with a PC that has caused so much grief for so long.
Get a Dell instead. Cheaper than an iBook, but just as good of quality IMHO. I supported Dell laptops for a previous employer and had an easy time with them. :) Just don't run over them with your car. 8-P
