The USB MEDICALERT Flash drive is a great idea whose time is fast approaching. A great deal of medical care is documentation, data storage and patient identification. A portable flash drive could conceivably carry not only illness and allergy information but insurance, address, next of kin, living will and updated medical examination results from physician to physician to hospital etc. The worries are protecting patient information from the unscrupulous and educating the patient for proper use. This method in conjuction with RF tracking has huge potential.
