Just the Beginning
Considering the draconian "contol" of U.S. law-abiding citizens coming down the tubes from the Patriot Acts 1 and 2 (aka: Homeland Security) here is my take. I believe this is just the beginning...I believe people who "disagree" with Fed Policies, laws, leaders...will be charged with a "terrorist crime." It's called political correctness (censorship). It is nothing more than a clone of Stalin's policies and his gulag, or Hitler's "policies" and concentration camps. I care not if this intake receives "conspiracy wacko" comments. Everything I thought would happen concerning our freedom, HAS happened. We are living in a world where the "Governments" of the world have spun totally out of control. Ending with this quote from one of our forefathers, to paraphrase: "He who is willing to give up his freedom for security deserves neither."

Censorship is subjective
These people were trafficking in STOLEN (yes, stolen) confidential information. The kind of information, that when placed in the wrong hands, could seriously impair a person's life for years, maybe for the rest of his/her life. I don't necessarily agree that everyone who was a member of the web site is an automatic criminal. Some were probably just curious and felt special to be a member, in some odd way. The guilty parties will have to be decided and prosecuted through investigation.

The mention of terrorism isn't surprising, given our current situation. I'd think any real terrorism connection may be linked to the financing of terrorist networks, via using stolen financial information to buy and sell goods. Then again, what kind of intent is meant when people who trade a person's identity end up interrupting and destroying that person's financial freedom and more?

My boyfriend was arrested by the secret service.
My fiance', from los angeles california was arrested by the secret service tuesday oct. 26th for being a regular member of the phpbb forum at shadowcrew.com.
He has been released on $100,000.00 Bond.
He never belived just being a member of a website would be illegal, he never even thought if he wanted to talk about anything illegal which I don't belive he did would be illegal since we all have freedom of speech, as long as none of it is acted upon.
But definatly this has been a nightmare and we both wish he would have never known of that website.
If anyone has any questions they can email me.

Awh comon now ..... He didn't do anything illegal, did he?
Lady, if that is really what your boyfriend told you and you believe it, I have a bridge or two to sell you.

First of all, the Secret Service does not just arrest anyone for being a part of a bb. Second, they don't set a $100,000 bond for just being a member of a bb. Lastly, they have evidence, and lots of it, for the Secret Service to bust him and have that high a bond set.

You ought to wake up to the reality of the situation ..... you've been scammed like all those other people except for the fact he took you personally.

Framd323 and "ShadowCrew will never die"
Reading this comment made me sick to my stomach, and almost in tears.

Have you learned nothing?

My fiance, whom I am sure you all know very well, Framd323, was arrested on October 28th, 2003.

I am five and a half months pregnant, I cannot find a job because no one wants to hire someone who is pregnant, has to be out of work once a week, and cannot be on her feet.

He has lost everything. Everything. He has lost every penny that he thought was so worth the risk. I am now forced to consider adoption, leaving him faced with the option of losing his child, as well.

How can this possibly be worth it to you?

Are you that selfish? Do you not see the people that you are hurting? The lives that you are destroying?

'Do the crime, do the time', if only that was the case. It's US that do the crime. Your friends, your family, your wives and children.

And FOR WHAT? I will never understand that. For what?

I wish you all the best in your future, you're really going to need it.

Oh, and since you're all such good buddies and 'there for eachother' and all that crap, maybe you could explain why YOU'VE not posted his bond?

Dear friends,

I'm sorry your lives fell away due to the shadowcrew.
But, you were warned. You play in the shadows, and you may never come out.

I hope your lives are looking up.
