Samsung launched an 82-inch LCD panel in Seoul on March 6. The South Korean company says the product is the world's largest full high-definition LCD television screen. Mass production is still at least 18 months away; no pricing was given.

I wouldn't mind having one. I bet Halo looks like a dream on this puppy.
Not sure how I would feel taking out a home loan just to get one, though.
Personally, if I were building a home theater, I'd just get a nice CRT projector. If someone wants to watch television on that monster LCD, they must be swimming in money.

base length. Moving the scale beside one of the women allows you
to position this length to an estimation of where the feet should be.
Take the ratio of the remaining length from the top of her head to
the overall length and multiply this by 82. You will find that the
women are about 15" shorter than the diagonal dimension (or
about 5'6")
looks about right to me.
