Apple Computer used a series of posters at last year's Worldwide Developer Conference to take potshots at Longhorn, the next version of Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft's Windows operating system.

MBU = MS R&D
A secret group of hard working people at Redmond Campus 1 within the Mac Businees Unit (MBU) are the sole R&D of MS. Everytime a new version of OSX comes out from Cupertino, the MS MBU works tirelessly to integrate the Apple "innovations" into the Mac Office Suite, etc.. The first version of Excel & Word were on a Mac GUI since MS was still in DOS-land.
This is why the "cool" features always come out in the Mac Office before the MS Office & why it still to date works better on a Mac than on Windows.
As long as Citizen Gates keeps the MS MBU open, "innovations" will flow from Cupertino directly to Redmond & slooooowly seep into the later WinOS dujoir as "OUTSTANDING NEW FEATURES FROM THE PEECEE WIZARD CITIZEN GATES".

The MS MBU also keeps the DOJ happy that MS is "playing nice with others" & keeps MS's finger on Steve Job's pulse in Cupertino.
