IBM's p5-575, a specialized server geared for high-performance computing, has eight 1.9GHz Power5 processors, uses unusually large numbers of cooling fins, packs electronics into its lid and forsakes conventional cabling. The product is scheduled to ship in the first quarter of 2005.
