Phones buzz to the beat

Verizon Wireless said Monday it's selling Samsung's SCH-n330 cell phone, which features a battery that vibrates to the beat of the its ring tone. The phone, $70 with a two-year contract, shakes and shimmies using VibeTonz technology, developed by San Jose, Calif.-based Immersion.

Reaching U.S. shores for the first time, the duet is another example of cell phone personalization. Earlier introduced examples are downloadable cell phone ring tones to replace a pre-packaged ringer, games and screensavers.

Hasn't this been available for years?
I distinctly remember the Nokia 8200 series doing this. They
had ringtones which incorporated well-timed vibes along with
the music.

Assumption
I think that this one will do it to any tone, not just those designed for the unit.
