PeopleSoft boosts software compatibility

PeopleSoft has released a set of software programs to make its customer service and sales force-productivity applications compatible with business management software from rivals SAP and Oracle. PeopleSoft unveiled the six new programs, called PeopleSoft CRM Process Integration Packs, on Monday. The products are designed to connect customer account and order information among the various applications.

PeopleSoft said it also plans to release a tool, called PeopleSoft Infosync Server, that helps synchronize data between its customer relationship management (CRM) applications and Microsoft Outlook and IBM Lotus Notes. In addition, the company has built a new feature into its CRM software to help businesses adhere to the federal government's new Do Not Call Registry program. PeopleSoft plans to release each of these new features and programs next month.
