PeopleSoft-Oracle trial delayed

A trial date in PeopleSoft's unfair business practices lawsuit against Oracle has been pushed back to Jan. 10. Previously, the trial was set to start in Alameda County Superior Court on Nov. 1, but Oracle had requested more time to gather the needed documents and statements for trial, an Oracle attorney said.

Oracle, which had previously asked for a trial date during the summer of next year, is facing allegations it launched its hostile takeover bid for PeopleSoft as a means to disrupt its business. Oracle denies PeopleSoft's allegations.
