Not at those prices....
UNtil they are acceptably in where the middle class can afford either LCD or Plasma the exorbitant $2,000 - $4,000 for a decent size set is unacceptable and I will be one of those waiting until the pricing is where it should be!

What's decent size?
I bought a 42-inch Panasonic plasma for $1100 at Circus City. I love it - the picture is great. Comparing them at the store, it had a noticably better picture than the LCD's, especially with fast motion.

Cheaper than LCDs anyway
When you can get an excellent plasma 42" display (with tuners and
HDMI inputs!) for around $1,000, you can stop complaining about
outrageous pricing. People used to spend that much for Sony 30"
tube TVs! Tiny! And a decent plasma set can be had for even less.

What do you want, a $400 big-screen TV? LOL! The middle class
worker making $60,00 per year (yes, that's what you need to earn
to be "middle class" in the 2000s) can afford a $1,000 TV.
