Paris and Britney, eat your hearts out.

When it comes to longevity as the most-searched for diva on the Web, Pamela Anderson wins hands down. The former Baywatch star has nabbed the top spot in Lycos's list of the most popular search terms in the decade since September 1995, when the search engine began tracking queries.

Britney Spears came in at No. 4 and was the most sought-after singer on Lycos Search. Others in the top 10 included Pokemon, Las Vegas and Christmas. N' Sync topped the list of most searched for bands, and Anna Kournikova dominated athlete searches. The Simpsons and Star Wars were the hottest TV and film titles, respectively.

Lycos, a division of Korea's Daum Communications, released the top 50 list this week to mark its 10-year anniversary.

The company omits certain terms from its top search list, including anything that's sexually explicit, a Lycos representative said.

Yet Anderson's popularity among Internet surfers undoubtedly skyrocketed in 1997, after a sex video she made with her rock star husband found its way onto several Web sites.

Google publishes its own "zeitgeist" list annually. Spears has topped that list for two years running.
