PalmSource appoints new director

PalmSource, a maker of operating systems for handheld devices, announced Thursday the addition of Cisco Systems executive Betsy Rafael to its board of directors.

Rafael is a vice president at Cisco, as well as controller and principal accounting officer. She joins Eric Benhamou, John B. Shoven, Satjiv Chahill, Robert Finocchio, Jean Louis Gassee, David Nagel and P. Howard Edelstein on the board of Sunnyvale, Calif.-based PalmSource.
