PalmOne CFO leaves for SanDisk

PalmOne Chief Financial Officer Judy Bruner is leaving the handheld maker to fill a similar role for flash memory card maker SanDisk, the companies announced Friday. Bruner has served on SanDisk's board of directors since July 2002, but will step down from that role. She will start her new role June 21. Bruner will be taking over for SanDisk CFO Michael Gray, who will pursue other interests. PalmOne Vice President Philippe Morali will serve as acting chief financial officer while the company conducts a search for Bruner's replacement.

Bruner has been with PalmOne since 1999 and helped to guide the company through its spinoff from 3Com, its initial public offering, its acquisition of Handspring, and the spinoff of operating system developer PalmSource. At SanDisk, she will be responsible for finance, investor relations, legal, human resources, business development and information technology.
