Palm names new executives

Handheld computing leader Palm announced three new executive appointments to its Solutions Group. Kevin Hell, formerly manager of the emerging products business at PC maker Gateway, will be senior vice president of product management at Palm.

Angel Mendez, formerly vice president for global supply-chain management at Gateway, will be senior vice president of global supply-chain operations at Palm. Ken Wirt, former CEO of online music company Riffage.com, will be will be senior vice president of marketing.
