Palm chops price of m515 device

Handheld maker Palm cut the price of its m515 last week from $399 to $349. In July, Palm reduced the price of all its mobile devices except the m515, which at the time was the top-selling unit in the retail market, according to research firm NPDTechworld. In August, the m515 was the fifth best-selling device in the retail market.

Several PDA makers have been lowering prices on handhelds as sales have slowed this year and as they prepare to announce new devices using the Palm OS 5 operating system.
