Oracle announced Tuesday that it plans to acquire utilities applications maker Lodestar. Under the deal, Oracle will integrate Lodestar's meter data management software with its Utilities Global Business Unit.
The Lodestar acquisition will be added to technology Oracle acquired through its SPL WorldGroup acquisition last year. The Lodestar deal is expected to close next month. Financial terms were not disclosed.
