Novell promotes exec to global role

Novell, whose Suse Linux operating system holds the No. 2 position in the Linux market, has promoted Ron Hovsepian to executive vice president in charge of worldwide field operations, the company said Tuesday. Previously, he was president of North American operations.

Hovsepian worked at IBM for 17 years before joining Novell in 2003.
