Novell enlists SugarCRM as open-source partner

Novell has signed a marketing partnership with SugarCRM, a start-up that develops and sells an open-source customer relationship management software package. SugarCRM is the first member of Novell's Market Start program to try to bring open-source software to small and medium-size businesses, the companies said Monday.

SugarCRM competes with larger companies including SAP, Salseforce.com and Siebel Systems, which Oracle said Monday it plans to acquire.
