Nissan chief quits IBM board

Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Nissan Motor, has resigned from IBM's board of directors Big Blue said Friday. Ghosn has been on the IBM board since March 2004.

Ghosn, who pulled Japan's second-biggest automaker from bankruptcy in 1999, is scheduled to take over as president and CEO of Renault in May. Nissan owns 15 percent of Renault.
