They should relaunch the system for that day!

Bundle 99nights and a premium 360 for $425 and they would probably sell around 100k that week.... then let word of mouth take over.......

Japan is loyal to PS3
It does not matter what Microsoft does to promote the 360 in Japan they won't be successful. Japan is loyal to the PS3. They just don't want the 360.
