Nexaweb beefs up Web application tools

Web application company Nexaweb Technologies released on Tuesday an upgrade to its tools for building graphics and data-intensive applications.

Nexaweb Software Platform version 3.0 introduces a visual development tool for designing graphical user interface software and adds clustering to the Nexaweb server software to make it more reliable. The new software, which is built using Java, also supports Web services standards, which means that existing Web services can deliver information to desktop PCs without modification. Nexaweb is one of several companies that sell software for building "rich client" applications, or programs with sophisticated graphics and data-aggregation capabilities.
