New marketing execs at Penguin Computing

Linux computer maker Penguin Computing has named two top marketing executives. Tim Diefenthaler will lead eastern United States sales, and Howard Johnston will lead western sales, the San Francisco company said Wednesday.

Diefenthaler was a regional sales manager for Dell Computer and previously spent 10 years at IBM. Johnston, promoted from a lower sales position at Penguin Computing, previously worked at American Megatrends.
