Have you seen how much they charge for their OEM ink cartridges? Printer ink costs more than the printer. HP is a good company, but you are probably right.
Innovation vs. operational excellence? No, I think so. The challenge is not balancing the two, or making either/or decisions. It is about removing the barriers (silos) which in many companies today prohibit effective across-the-board collaboration. Tear down those silos Mr. Hurd. That's the path towards long-term Sustainable Lean Enterprise based on the voice of your customers (me included).
