These guys are morons who can't take a clue. We hear the same argument over every new technology: "It's going to ruin us! It must be banned!" Then what do we find out? That consumers flock to the new technology, entertainment usage grows and the industry ends up better off than ever before.
Classic example? The industry swore that the VCR was going to ruin television and movies. Now the same industry actually counts on VHS/DVD rental and sales to support the cost of making content, and actually releases things "straight to video". Obviously it hasn't ruined them and has benefited them in a huge way.
