Netegrity updates provisioning tools

Netegrity has released an update to its software for managing user access to corporate networks. The software, IdentityMinder eProvision 4.0, lets administrators assign network identities and passwords for access to business applications and Web software. Netegrity said the new release adds support for Java and simplified administration tools.

Netegrity's product and others like it are known as provisioning tools. Such tools have become more widely used to automate the process of providing access to business systems, and to revoke access when employees leave. Netegrity said eProvision 4.0 will be available by month's end, priced at around $30 per user.
