And the big deal is?

I'm not so far out of my teens that I don't remember them, but I can't remember being particularly traumatized by internet porn. I AM far enough out of them to have been using the internet before the big push for adult supervision, or even firewalls, and I'd wager I came across as much or more porn than kids today. I'm trying to think of anything that was potentially psychologically damaging, and coming up blank.

What I remember is mostly teaser images designed to hook you into paying for full access to the site. Those images weren't anything more scandalous than what you'd see in Hustler. So what is the big deal?

Sexuality- Good or Bad?

The value, good or bad, of visual, verbal or physical sexual experience will never be agreed upon by humans. If we value peace, the best we can do is learn from the centuries of human blood, shed by self-righteous religious zealots trying to enforce their moral view on the ?evil? Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim or Pagan heretics. Whether or not you believe in a real Adam and Eve recorded in the Hebrew scriptures, I do, the message for me is still valid. It was not God who was ashamed of the open display of sexuality and sexual parts, He designed into the human body. Adam and Eve, already under the influence of another spirit being, after eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, decided that their nakedness must be evil after wanting to hide from God when He called for them.

NKJ Romans 14:23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.

God respected their consciousness, and most ?religious? people have been ashamed of human biology, the naked body and sexual play, ever since. I believe that God?s way of love reveals that intellectual, emotional and sensual human pleasures, that involve no physical harm, are good when enjoyed in a balanced and controlled way.

All pleasures, when not part of a balanced life, can become addicting. Addictions destroy God?s equation of love.

LOVE OF SELF = LOVE OF NEIGHBOR = LOVE OF GOD

A human, addicted to power, drugs, sex, food, no food etc., becomes willing to harm oneself and/or ones neighbor in order to satisfy the addictive desire. The activity becomes harmful and a sin at that point. The self-righteous think they can demonstrate their moral superiority and greater love of God by forcing their ?superior? morals on their neighbor instead of the fruits they might produce by living it themselves. What they really demonstrate is their greater love for themselves than either God or their neighbor!
