this is a non-story
this is a non-story and nothing new

everyone in uk is happy with our legal system

all the info will be published after the court cases are finished

this is normal, we in uk accept it

you cannot publish info until everyone has been proven guilty by a judge

thats the british way of life we accept it and agree with it

it sems the only folks with the problem are the american cnet news site

who don't live in this country anyway..........

Non story?
Kind of like the communist Chinese said Tianamin Square was a non-story? And you Brits complain of our government, when yours censors the news? I'm absolutely dumbfounded!

RE: no story
First of all News companies rumour monger, speculate, exaggerate, give false and outdated information.

I watched this and many stories unfold the information was changing every half hour.

The police where giving out *nothing*, so where was all this information coming from?

I expect the same sources that US news companies are using.

To be honest I rather True Justice is done and find out the *real facts* later.

This isnt really censoring, it making sure that justice is done and the facts are right. Otherwise the case would fall apart and people would be let off free.

Tell me a government that doesnt censure! They all do and the west is just as bad.

As for News companies there only there to make money and help submit proper-gander.

NYT - A Progressive European Journal
NYT... what a joke... working to preserve the judicial process in OTHER countries, while releasing classified information on top-secret US programs to the whole world. Protect the British... screw the Americans. Way to go New York Times. Your "discretion" about as obvious as a chimp in clown shoes.

You don't get it
This move has nothing to do with stopping people in the UK from hearing this info. As you said that is impossible. It is ALL about the Times covering their arse to protect themselves from legal action. If someone bypasses the NYT effort to block them by using a proxy or cache or any other of a thousand ways, it's not NYT's fault and they can't be held liable. It's that simple.
