Open-source database seller MySQL has named Mark Burton to the newly created post of executive vice president of worldwide sales. Burton, 47, previously was senior vice president of American sales for Informatica, and also worked at OuterBay Technologies, Oracle, Digital Equipment Corp. and Unisys, MySQL said Thursday.
Burton will work out of the company's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif.
