Music metadata company sold

Muze, a company that provides "metadata" information describing songs and albums to online services such as eBay, Yahoo and Borders, has been sold to Enterprise Partners Venture Capital.

The 15-year-old Muze has played a critical role in building archives of supplemental data on the music available through new services online. The companies provided no financial details on the transaction.
