that the real problem is their pricing and attitudes. All you have to
do is look how successful iTunes is to see that people want to pay
for the music they download. They just don't like to be gouged for
it. And you don't make good customers by threatening dire
consequences if people don't want overpay for a product.
Overly restrictive DRM which doesn't allow me to play my purchased music on the device of my choice and blatant malware (for example the Sony rootkit) on the media we purchase do not provide much of a "carrot" to entice people to purchase their products.
Who's zooming who?
I think it's time the tables were turned, haul the whole lot of them into court and have them justify their claims.
It was done with Big Tobacco...
I say give away the song and sell the band. After all it's entertainment that people pay for.
