Mod chip seller gets new owner

Lik Sang, the Hong Kong retailer sued by Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft for selling mod chips and other hacking devices for video game consoles, has changed hands, according to a notice on the store's Web site. Pacific Game Technology will now run the company, according to the notice, which said the new owners will work fast to either complete or issue refunds for outstanding orders.

"The funding company (Lik Sang International) behind Lik Sang.com has been unable to recover from the court injunction back in September of 2002," according to the notice. "The new team (Pacific Game) is working very hard to solve all problems and to go back to the quality of service Lik Sang.com has been famous for in the past."
