IT Betrayed
That's your Microsoft pulling the out sourcing rug out from under
you. How do all the IT MS defenders feel about this now? Betrayed?
Used? Need a shoulder to cry on?

Poor guyz. It's almost like a country and western song, isn't it?

Sure, US tech people really don't need jobs anymore
Sure Balmer, sure. First you say that the US us not graduating enough engineers, and what do you do? Send more work overseas and layoff those same engineers that you claim that you need.

US tech people really don't need jobs anymore, do they? Why are people still buying MS software?

The article doesn't say anything about layoffs in the US...

Low Cost
As long as India and China provide dirt cheap labor, and that's what it is all about, low cost labor. American Industry will continue to send work over seas.
But who knows those two countries may one day pull the rug from under the Americans, and then what will Mr. CEO-DUNCE do.

I think that it is time....
.... for Mr. Ballmer to take the entire Microsoft operation
overseas. Just think of the savings that would create. And India
would be so grateful!!!! Ol' Bill would have to sell his house but
while the price he gets would be quite low, the replacement cost
in India should be even cheaper.

And there might even be enough people in India who would buy
MS products to keep the company solvent.

But, by then, who would care ?????

Henry Ford had the right idea - pay his workers a good wage so
that they could buy Ford automobiles. I don't think he ever
considered building the automobiles in Mexico for the cheap
labor costs.

Ford was forced to pay those wages
The start of the United Auto Workers, his use of violence against workers demanding higher wages, and his oppurtunity to spin the American opinion by offering those wages is why Ford did it: not that he was a good guy! ! ! !
The man never gives up anything unless it is to his advantage; be it Walton, Ford, Welch, Bush, or Steinbrenner! ! !

US Citizens should promote Linux and pirates
US intellectual property laws have enable MS to become a virtual monopoly. Now they are moving their production offshore where these laws are ignored, but will still expect to gouge US citizens as they strengthen and enforce their "MS genuine" effort. Sounds like MS now wants to exploit both US citizens and foreign workers.

Response: Boycott MS. Encourage Linux, Open Office, standards, and pirates

MS goes to India
Have you every tried talking to a MS service
person in India. I have lived all over the world
and am used to foreign accents but some of these
people are extremely difficuly to understand.
However, on the other side of the coin, they are
extremely polite and won't give up until the have solved your problem. At the wages they are getting
MS can afford to let them spend all the time they need to help you out.
If you are unhappy with what MS is doing, switch to LINDOWS a Linux OS that workes like Windows
but is much more stable.
