SQUAREENIX on XBOX? What the hell?
by Thorax232 November 16, 2005 10:48 AM PST
I'm not exactly a fan of the XBOX because of it's simple and crappy games but if Square does anything with them they might have a solid game. But what about PS3? I know Square will still have games on it but I can't possibly imagine a Square game on the 360, somehow it doesn't seem right. Then again if the 360 wants to survive it's only chance is getting a new developer that can actually make a solid game (unlike Bungie for instance). So for their lineup for games on realease date looks pretty bad, 11 out of 18 are all 2006 sports games which are already out, they might have better graphics but that's nothin'. I urge everyone to either buy all 3 consoles or find out what they're really about before choosing, instead of just going with what the media says which is the only way the XBOX has survived this long.

Linux Streaming Media Port ?
by Stomfi November 16, 2005 3:51 PM PST
It could make a good Linux streaming media server with that triple core PPC, so we'll have to wait for the Linux community to do their thing, although I expect the Playstation 3 will be the better platform with its extra parallel vector processing functionality, and it will run Linux out of the box.
