Microsoft, Overstock reach settlement

Microsoft on Monday reached a settlement with Web retailer Overstock, which it sued last year for allegedly selling counterfeit versions of its software. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

The lawsuit, filed last February, sought awards for damages and injunctive relieve. Jonathan Johnson, Overstock's general consel, said in a press release that the settlement amount was "substantial," but not "material to the company's liquidity."

Microsoft representatives were not immediately available for comment.
