Hard-drive maker Maxtor has appointed Rick Allen to its board of directors, the company said on Monday. Allen was formerly chief financial officer of J.D. Edwards before it merged with PeopleSoft in 2004. The company cited Allen's experience with strategic and financial issues in announcing his appointment.
Allen joins chairman of the board C.S. Park and five other directors--Charles M. Boesenberg, Michael R. Cannon, Charles F. Christ, Charles Hill and Gregory E. Myers--according to the company's annual report.
