Macromedia site shows Flash at work

Software maker Macromedia on Monday unveiled a prototype e-commerce site intended to demonstrate the improved user experience the company hopes to provide through use of its Flash animation player and other products. The Pet Market site integrates Web applications created with Flash and other Macromedia products to make it easier and quicker to do business on the site. Extensive documentation accompanying the site allows developers to see how the site was built.

Macromedia is in the midst of a far-reaching push to put its Web development tools at the center of a new style of Web design, in which applications and content are seamlessly integrated.
