Macromedia, Adobe set merger vote date

Adobe Systems and Macromedia each said their shareholders would meet Aug. 24 to vote on Adobe's proposed acquisition of Macromedia.

Macromedia said it filed an amended S-4 proxy statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The companies reiterated that they expected the merger to close in the fall, subject to shareholder and regulatory approval. Federal antitrust regulators have requested additional information regarding the merger.
