MTV to study mobile-content markets

MTV International and VeriSign subsidiaries Jamster and Jamba will soon launch a research program to study global trends in mobile entertainment, the companies announced on Thursday.

In light of growing access to mobile devices, the study will cover issues such as usage, mechanics, and frequency of downloading and streaming to mobile phones. It will also explore the impact of wireless technology on content creation and communication. MTV and Jamster jointly offer on-demand digital content services and ring tone chart shows.
